Anna Lipphardt teaches Cultural Anthropology at the University of Freiburg where she also directs the research group
Cultures of Mobility in Europe ( Her research areas include migration and mobility studies, spatial theory and urban studies, and the anthropology of the arts. Her current research project Travelling Artists. Mobility and Artistic Practice in the 21st Century explores the interplay between specific artistic practices, mobility, economic and labor frameworks, and the social life-worlds of artists. At the Nomadic Village she hopes to learn more about the mobile life-worlds and to explore collaboratively how to map creative trajectories.
