[Artists on the road]
Artists, researchers, activists, hackers, those who intentionally displace themselves to seek encounters that not only influence their work but form it; those who work without borders and constantly respond to situations, places and people along their journey, those who have an autonomous working and living mobile setup

2 weeks settlement for artists on the road, providing basic facilities, food and contact with the local community

The Nomadic Villages are temporary settlements within or close to an existing village. Based on their project proposals we select engaged artists from Europe and all over the world who seek encounters that not only influence their work but form it. The Nomadic Villages create unique working environments for artists, to draw inspiration from each other and the beautiful location. It also gives residents in remote locations an extraordinary opportunity to interact first-hand with artists and their practice, as well as enjoy the exhibition of the artworks. The exhibition and the artists are also touring through Europe in a dedicated caravan, taking the inspiration to other communities internationally. In 2015 our itinerary will take us through northern Italy, the Balkans, Romania and Austria. We will set up two Villages, in Slovenia and Austria.
