Seeta Muller / Fabienne Khial

Sheet Cinema

Seeta Muller’s practice is concerned with the idea of nothingness in interior space, she is currently researching marginal space as a traceable presence. The importance of nothingness with reference to absent space leaving a trace upon it, the gaps, holes, scratches are a primitive script of human presences. Muller is currently working on translating a series of acid etched prints onto film.

Fabienne Khial works in word, drawing and film with an interest in expressing the fragility and poetics of life. Khial is currently working on a series of large drawings to be shown as part of the film project ‘Paperflaneur’. Paperflaneur is a collaboration between the two artists, which started 2 years ago while they were studying at Camberwell College (London) together, it developed into a series of short films that have been shown in United Kingdom and France.

During the Nomadic Village Muller and Khial will present ‘Sheet Cinema’, a pop up screen that will show a selection of short films combining the notion of hand drawing and low-tech production as a source of inspiration and constriction.
