Wideyed is an arts collective based in County Durham. Since February 2008, the group has been dedicated to creating, curating and promoting contemporary photography for exhibition and cross-media publication. The collective undertakes international projects and creative collaborations that lead to the production and innovative dissemination of new works. Its photographers have played active parts in photography festivals, received awards and bursaries, worked on commission, been artists-in-residence, and exhibited from England to India.

During the Nomadic Village Wideyed will work on a participatory documentation project involving the pseudo-scientific collation and interpretation of data - collection and classification of observations and specimens, glossary of vocabulary, meteorology and mapping, evidential photographs and scans, and so on. Wideyed will present key evidence and data in a forensically inspired, archival installation piece. The work is loosely inspired by Mass Observation’s 'science of ourselves' ethic, and will be supported by the nearby NPIA International Forensic Training Facility at Harperley Hall.
